Coromandel 2(1) (1799) 3. Distribution: China, India, Pakistan, Philippines, Taiwan. LUZON: Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Laguna, Mountain Province, Rizal, Zambales. Notes: Low and medium elevation shallow lakes, quiet streams, and sometimes in rice paddies. On Mt Data ascending to 2100m. Note by P.B. Pelser (3-Jan-20): Also considered a synonym of Nymphoides hydrophylla (Lour.) Kuntze, but kept separate here awaiting further study. Native.
