Distribution: Bismarck Arch, Moluccas, New Guinea, Philippines, Sulawesi. BOHOL, CATANDUANES, LUZON: Camarines, Sorsogon, MINDANAO: Bukidnon, Davao, Lanao del Sur, NEGROS, ?PANAY, SAMAR. Notes: Lowland and medium elevation forests and forest edges. Native.

On clayey, sometimes volcanic soil. Native.
