ALABAT, LUZON: Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Camarines Norte, NCR, Pampanga, Quezon, Rizal, MINDANAO: Surigao, MINDORO, PALAWAN, SAMAR, SIBUYAN. Notes: Low and medium elevation primary forests. Conservation status: Least Concern (IUCN 3.1). Native.

Distribution: Endemic to the Philippines. LUZON: Benguet, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Nueva Vizcaya. Notes: Mossy forests. The name Sarcococca saligna is been misapplied to Sarcococca philippinensis in some resources (e.g., Hassler 2019). 2000-2700m. Native.
