1. Stemona lucida (R. Br.) Duyfjes, Blumea 36 (1991) 243; Fl. Males. ser. 1, 11 (1993) 404. Type from Queensland. Stemona philippinensis Merr., Govt. Lab. Publ. (Philipp.) 6 (1904) 16; EPFP 1 (1922) 201. --Type: Merrill 3061 (K, holotype). Masbate. Australia (N Queensland), Papua New Guinea, and the Philippines: MASBATE, TICAO. Rather dry places in monsoon areas, in scrub, open forest, dry gallery forest, an on roadsides, alt. 0-200m.
2. Stemona tuberosa Lour., Fl. Cochinch. (1790) 404; --Merr., EPFP 1 (1922) 202; --Buysen, Fl. Males. ser. 1, 11 (1993) 405, f. 1-2.  --Type: No specimen found, the illustration in Rumph., Herb. Amb. 5 (1747) 365 “Ubi Gorita nigrum”, t. 129, serving as lectotype.
   
   • var. tuberosa SE Continental Asia, Taiwan, Hainan, Philippines, Flores, Ambon.
   • var. ternatensis (JJ Sm.) Duyfjes, Blumea 36 (1991) 243; Fl. Males. ser. 1, 11 (1993) 405, f. 1-2. --Type from Ternate.
